Drink Some Cherry Wine

Since hearing this the other day while leaving the movie theater with a friend, I have been humming it constantly. So it was only fitting that I paid homage to the wonderful and talented Jermaine Stewart who blessed us with the eighties dance pop hit 'We Don't Have To Take Our Clothes Off'.

According to Wikipedia, Jermaine was born in Columbus, Ohio in 1957 and moved to Chicago as a teen. It was there that he began his career in entertainment as a dancer on Soul Train.  He became a back-up singer for the then popular group Shalamar and embarked on his own solo career.

'We Don't Have To Take Our Clothes Off' became a massive hit on the pop and dance scene and he also released another hit. 'The Word Is Out'.

Jermaine died in 1997 from liver compilcations associated with the AIDS virus.
