Rod Blagojevich- Sit'cho Ass Down (Updated)

While driving to work this morning, I was listening to NPR and they broke into the program to announce that Illinois Governor Rod Blagojevich had just been arrested for "unspecified" charges. I immediately called my homie in the Chi to inquire about the arrest and he hadn't heard anything. I then told him to send me a text when he had the word on the street.

According to Yahoo, Blagojevich was arrested and is in FBI custody for curruption charges stemming from trying to gain money for the appointment for the sucessor for Obama's senate seat. Oh boy! The ish has hit the fan and hot grits is falling everywhere in the Chi. HOPEFULLY, no one else (um...Jesse Jackson Jr.) will be implicated in this probe (Blagojevich's Chief of Staff was arrested as well). Apparently, the Governor's phone coversations have been recorded, including conversations with Barack Obama, whom, after the Governor concluded their call, proceeded to tell his staff eff Obama. DAMN. Harsh eh? And if other folks are involved, it will come out in the wash just like always. The Feds are going hard after the Governor, who has one of the lowest approval ratings in Illinois history.

Also, word on the street (so remember to take this with a grain of salt) is that President Elect Obama's Chief of Staff, Rahm Emanuel, may have been the one to tip-off the Feds. Is that so, Rahm? You are indeed keeping it real if that is the case.

Damn Blagojevich, things were going so well (Obama-ly speaking)and you had to go and eff it up. Please resign and most importantly, sit'cho ass down!

Don Cornelieus- Sit'cho Ass Down!

OMG. When I was a little girl watching Soul Train on Superstation WGN trying my best to unscramble the artist of the day puzzle, I looked upon Don Cornelieus as like a grandfather or some ish. Smooth and always ready for a good time, The Don was like my hero, or at least on Saturday mornings he was. But why in the hell is he facing three years in the pen for spousal battery and assualt?

Don, did she take your 45's and scratch em up? Did she dare not participate in the Soul Train line in your living room when your play cousin came over for dinner? Why in the hell is this event even happening? 72 is too damn old to be going upside your wife's head. She is getting too old to be taking those blows and Don, you should be swallowing Viagra and drinking your Ensure while watching The Golden Girls, not BEATING YOUR WIFE. Even Ike Turner (God rest his soul) stopped being a wife beater in his 60's. Quite surely you could've done that too.

Don, let me find out you are on that stuff and then I will know somethin'. I'm DONE!

Kanye, Sit'cho Ass Down!

Kanye. I love you. I get all warm and fuzzy and stalkerish when I think of you. That song Em had several years back called Stan, well I Stan for you Yeezy. I would like nothing more than to be your wifey and cook your dinner and iron your clothes and write your blog, but if you flip out and assualt another photog, imma have to start stanning for 50 Cent. Really, 'Ye, why do you keep getting into it with the Paps? Are they really impeding your life that much that you have to assault them and catch a case? Kanye, sit'cho ass down somewhere and make headlines with your music, not with hitting folks. I'm done! I can't have a Babydaddy that has a criminal record....(hmm....that kinda limits the dating pool, huh?) LOL.
